Dinner Ideas Pastas

Meatballs and Moustache Spaghetti

Breaking the standards usually brings a variety to your recipes. This meatballs and moustache spaghetti recipe is an unusual, but a delicious way of making meatballs and pasta with that yummy tomato – onion sauce!

I was in the kitchen to make a slow cooker spaghetti and meatballs recipe I saw on Pinterest. Lauren’s pics looked awesome and recipe sounded great. By the way, she has a great blog about almost everything. You possibly know it, but if not you should visit it soon. Whatever, whenever I make meatballs and pasta, my son eats just one of them: either pasta or meatballs. That makes me angry and actually I was very dubious about to make or not to make Lauren’s recipe. I wanted it a lot, but was not sure about my son.

So I came up with this idea: why not bring them together. Instead of cooking them separately I rolled the meatballs around a bunch of spaghetti (8-10 sticks) and boiled together. You will need a big pot and a lot of water for this. All you have to do is to cook the bunches according to package instructions and drain.

Of course it is impossible to think of a pasta recipe without sauce. Onion tomato sauce is an extremely easy and delicious topping for all kinds of pasta. Actually, you can use it with your chicken and meat recipes as well. You can prepare it in 30 minutes by just putting all ingredients in a saucepan and stirring occasionally. If you think it is too thick for your pasta, just add some hot water and bring it to your desired texture.

This meatballs and moustache spaghetti recipe is an ideally nutritious and enjoyable lunch or dinner idea for your kids. Let them enjoy this with a glass of fresh orange juice!
