Having ice pops is the sweetest and healthiest way of eating fruits. These tropical blackberry popsicles will be your favorite snack this summer.
My son is a real ice cream monster. Every summer he comes together with his cousins who are also ice cream monsters. Riding their bicycles to the market and getting ice creams has become their summer ritual. Ice cream can be considered a healthy snack if you forget about its sugar content. But unfortunately, ice creams are packed with a lot of sugar. So if your kids are eating a lot of ice cream, they are taking uncontrolled amounts of sugar into their bodies. That’s a big risk!
It is almost impossible to persuade children not to eat ice creams, but you can keep their sugar intake under control by making your own ice cream or, a better alternative, your own homemade fruitsicles. These tropical blackberry popsicles are the ones you and your kids will love.
With different fruits, you may need to make your own sugar adjustment depending on how sweet the fruits are or how much you like sweet tastes. Blackberry, kiwi and pineapple make a well balanced and fresh combination for your fruitsicles. The kids’ favorite is pineapple in our case, so pineapple is the last layer of my tropical blackberry popsicles, a scrumptious closing to popsicle ceremony! It’s a good idea to make your own order.
We have lots of fruits in the summer time making life sweeter and healthier for us. What is more, their prices come to a minimum and they become available for every budget. Instead of letting yourself and your kids consume a lot of sugar along with additives and preservatives, make your own popsicles and enjoy the summer! All you need is some sugar, fruits, a food processor and a fridge.
