When my chocolate crisis reaches a maximum level, I can’t think of any other thing but start preparing my double coated chocolate cake recipe. It gives me a full satisfaction of chocolate flavor and eases my dessert desire.
If you are among those who crave chocolate, this is the correct recipe for you. Baking an ordinary cake sounds very boring to me, so I always try to give an alternative touch when I bake a cake. Sometimes it is a difference in the cake, sometimes it is about the cream or sauce.
This time I tried a kind of two layered cream. The inner part is white and the outer part is black. And I love sprinkles! Depending on my mood I use them in different sizes, colors and shapes. They give the cake a lively and yummy form. I used the the green-blue mixture of sprinkles for the first time and I liked its effect on my double coated chocolate cake.
I like to have a lot of coating and cream on the cakes I bake, so the coating of this recipe starts running down as you start slicing it. Sometimes scraping that runny coating off the tray is more enjoyable than eating the cake itself.
That was also funnier and more delicious for my little son. He kept scraping the coating and rolling his spoon not to miss even a little drop of the sweet chocolate coating. The black beard and moustache on his face was so funny after the scraping and gulping operation was complete.
Double coated chocolate cake is a little different from double coated fudge cake as it has less butter in it. You can also bake it as a birthday cake. I’m sure the kids will like it a lot and their mothers will ask for the recipe.
